The Town of Castle Rock has an exciting career opportunity for a Parks Irrigation Technician in our Parks Division. Under general supervision of the Parks Superintendent, this position performs skilled technical work maintaining, installing and inspecting irrigation systems and performing maintenance operations on Town-owned and managed developed parks, open space, trails and streetscapes. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the stated values of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Qualifications generally include a high school diploma or GED equivalent; supplemented by two (2) years' experience in park maintenance with irrigation responsibility; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The Maxicom hardware installation certification is required, or ability to attain within 12 months. The ABPA Cross Connection certification is required, or ability to attain within 6 months. A valid Colorado Class B CDL driver's license is required, or ability to attain within 6 months. Successful candidate must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
This position is part of the Town's snow removal program. This position will have scheduled on-call responsibilities through the winter months to remove snow using a 4-wheel drive pickup and/or heavy equipment. Snow removal shifts are typically 12 hours.
