The Town of Castle Rock has an outstanding opportunity for a Traffic Operations Engineer in our Public Works Department. Under general direction this position oversees the Public Works traffic operations function. Monitors, evaluates, and establishes methods to ensure high quality, safe, efficient, and effective traffic engineering and operations services are provided. Performs duties in a manner consistent with the shared values of the organization.
Qualifications generally include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on traffic/transportation, or related discipline; supplemented by a minimum of three years of traffic engineering experience, preferably with public agencies that includes one year of leadership/supervisory experience; engineer in training (EIT) designation required with the ability to attain a professional engineering license within 12 months; or an equivalent combination. A Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on traffic/transportation and a minimum of two years of traffic engineering experience with EIT designation and the ability to attain a professional engineering license within one year will also be considered. A valid Colorado Driver's License is required. Candidate must satisfactorily complete a driving record check and criminal background check prior to commencing employment.
