SUMMARY: Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Intern - Business and Community Development will be learning how to work as part of the Business & Community Development team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company and member base. The intern will assist with event coordination, research, data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete data. The intern will work with CORE's NISC / Salesforce software. Along with other members of the team, represent CORE by participating in community events on weekdays, weekends, and evenings. The intern will manage sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity. This person should be willingly ready to take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about business development and external outreach.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a recent graduate or current student enrolled in college, with a focus on business or public administration. Preference made for junior or senior year students. GPA of 3.0 or higher. Prefer experience in public affairs, community outreach, or volunteerism. Representing school to potential students or businesses will suffice. Exhibits a high degree of integrity and honesty. Able to use appropriate diplomacy and tact with employees, members, customers, and other contacts. Ability to effectively read, write and speak the English language to communicate in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner. Ability to quickly learn. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Outlook, and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Elevated level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility. Motivation and a powerful desire to take on new challenges and learn our business.
 
BENEFITS: Intern will be paid for holidays when scheduled to work and CORE is off, and earn 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked and is eligible for our Employee Assistance Program
 
HOURLY RATE: $20.00/hour
