Job Posting Title:HR Generalist - Staffing
Job Description: Provides support to the Human Resources department. Learns and becomes involved with all aspects of Human Resources. Fills in where needed and is heavily involved in HR projects. Deals with matters of a highly personal nature requiring a great degree of confidentiality. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.
Position Specific Information (if Applicable):
This position will manage our district's staffing functions, to include reviewing and approving job requisitions and job changes for accuracy and compliance, posting positions, and providing training along with exceptional customer service to hiring managers and candidates through the posting and hiring processes. Strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and self-directed problem solving are some of the keys to success for this position. Experience with Workday Recruiting is preferred.
--- Handle early stage employee relations issues.
--- Answer HR questions from employees; provide advice, assistance and follow-up on district policies, procedures, and documentation.
--- . Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
--- Prepare presentations.
--- Cover for high volume HR areas when needed.
--- Cross-train in all areas of HR, including but not limited to preparation and distribution of position postings for certified and classified personnel, updating Human Resource employment website, employment verifications, processing of hiring and separation documents, etc.
--- Complete department projects and reports.
--- Provide HR Process improvement work.
--- Perform audits for Highly Qualified status related to No Child Left Behind (NCLB).
--- Monitor teacher license expiration and contract addendums, contact teachers for updated license information.
--- Set salaries for Classified and Certified positions.
